Pure Haus, an ecological house builder based in Leeds, were thrilled when they were approved and able to draw down their Coronavirus Business Interruption Loans (CBILS) from the Business Enterprise Fund (BEF).  The funding they needed, was to allow them to keep the building project going, whilst a larger facility was being worked upon, but delayed because of the crisis.

The £50k bridging application was received on a Friday and the following Thursday the funds were in the account.

“They were easy to deal with. The application was straight forward, and the funds were quickly in our account. This is a bit of a lifeline whilst the other funding channels are being finalised. We are building one of the few developments in the country where all the houses will meet this strict standard. This crisis just slowed everything up."

David Bradley-Bowles, one of the directors of Pure Haus.

Pure Haus are one of the few developers in the country who build houses to the premium standard of ecological housing developments, known as the ‘Passivhaus’ standard.

“Being small allows us to be incredibly responsive and agile. We have responded to a vast number of referrals in the market for assistance during this difficult time. The CBILS facility from British Business Bank has been a fantastic opportunity to help as many small businesses as we can, we have a fantastic team who are vastly experienced and able to assist. So please contact us if you need help.”
